Five Good Reasons to Go and Check out Chicago: the Musical

For those of us trapped in the often demanding, dull-at-best modern-day, nothing can spark more enthusiasm than a trip back to the past?especially when that age is set in the roaring 20?s, the days of prohibition in which unabashed debauchery and careless nihilism soared to new heights. Chicago: The Musical is just such a blast from the past, offering endless drama which starts from the very opening act. The entertainment value of the story alone is reason enough to check out this show, but for those who need further motivation, here are five good reasons to go check out Chicago: The Musical. 1. The Music Certain to keep you interested, each musical number in Chicago is based on a traditional vaudeville act; lots of of them are actually influenced by particular famous vaudeville entertainers, along the lines of Judy Garland and Mae West. The score was composed by John Kander, winner of the Tony, Laurence Olivier, Emmy, and Grammy Awards. Songs include ‘All that Jazz’ along with ‘Razzle Dazzle’ 2. The Awards Chicago: The Musical itself has received a number of awards, this includes eleven Tony nominations in the 1976 original run of the show and a Tony in 1997, the Drama Desk Awards, Outer circle Awards, and Drama League Award. An Academy Award-winning film version of the musical was released to much critical acclaim in 2002. 3. The Dance numbers The musical Chicago has become synonymous with its dance numbers, designed by praised choreographer Bob Fosse, who has earned eight Tony Awards for his career. Of particular interest here are the musical numbers ?Razzle Dazzle,? ?Cell Block Tango,? and also ?We Both Reached for the Gun.? 4. The Staging The sets, layout, dance routines, and sheer visual spectacle for this stage show are unparalleled and the performance often destroys the fourth wall, drawing the audience straight into its visceral world. 5. The Idea If practically nothing about musical theatre interests you, then the intellectual fodder set out by the themes in the story of Chicago: The Musical is enough to get anyone?s mind operating. Chicago isn?t shy about indicating how glamorized criminals become once they enter the public eye, nor does it refrain from the central theme that people all over the place are completely in love with scandal, no matter how depraved. 3DTV Are You Getting It

As being reported according to the College of Optometrists, a sizable portion of the population will be unable to see the full effects of 3DTV in action. Due to problems with their binocular vision, 56% of people between the ages of 18 and 38 will have their viewing experience limited in some way. Conditions such as amblyopia and strabismus, which affect about 5% of the population, make 3D viewing impossible. It is possible that, with training or surgery to correct these conditions, those affected would be able to take full advantage of all that 3D has to offer.

Some viewers of 3D images may experience the symptoms of motion sickness and thus have problems viewing 3DTV.studies say visual motion hypersensitivity is reported to lead to dizziness during 2D programming, and also nausia and stress when looking at 3D programs.

Since todays 3D technology is still being pioneered its story will not be written overnight. Judgments on the adoption of a revolutionary technology like 3DTV provided by Dish Network and others can only come years after it has hit the market. While HDTV has been accessible for at least seven years, it still has yet to record half the sales. 3DTV is benefiting from its new technology by being included on pretty much every TV recently manufactured, but the real truth about it will be revealed by how multi-channel providers respond to this new technology. If there isn’t enough bandwidth, then there is no reason to believe that television providers will give up precious space that could be used for HD.

Most providers will be reluctant to give up HD, which is still a key selling point and revenue stream, to satisfy a small number of customers. In the initial period, the selection of channels will be limited, however it will give companies a chance to eliminate any technical glitches in the early stages. The leading network in HD was ESPN, so they will obviously also be in the front row again in 3D. Time will tell if it will prove to be as profitable as HD. Consumers should just take solace in the fact that there won’t be a format war this time around.

How to Have a Great Time with Little Effort

For some reason, young girls love to dress up. I had a friend who had 6 boys, then eventually gave birth to one girl. This daughter seemed to instinctively understand how to dress pretty, carry a handbag and play more feminine then her brothers; things she didn’t learn anywhere, she just knew it made her feel good about herself. If you have a little girl, why not throw her a ballerina party that she will always remember. It is so easy to do, and will make a continuing impression that she will daydream about for months. Like any party, themed party gear like cups, plates, and napkins will make a great effect, but the decisive factor will be a ballerina uniform, complete with Danskin tights and a tutu. Anything with ruffles and frills will serve to compliment the attire that will pursue her imagination like few things can. This really should be a girls’ only party, but if the boys want to imitate Baryshnikov, include them. By calling in a few parents who are also open for a little fun, having them dress up for a few hours in tutus and frills could be a lot more fun than you would have believed. Memories will pile up as you and your little girl dance around in costume, pretending to be somebody they never knew. Add a good dancing movie to the collection, and make sure you can give them enough room. Finger food is also appropriate at a time like this. Nothing that will make a mess as little girls would rarely do that ~ ~ ~ At least not while in costume. Like any dress up party, the outfit makes the girl- so a little effort goes a long way. Food, fun, and ballerina outfits are sure to fill up a day that will last forever.

“It was extremely tasteless to see her pretend to be attacked in such a gory way - especially in front of young children.”

A Blowing Bubble Activity that will Blow the Kids Away!

I bet you haven’t given this blowing bubble activity any thought as a child party activity?

I’m not talking about little kids blowing little bubbles from those little containers - no, I’m talking about blowing HUGE bubbles. I bet you didn’t even know that it was possible? Yes, your bigger kids and their friends can have a lot of fun with this blowing bubble activity and what’s more, it’s inexpensive too… especially if you know how to make the right bubble solution and tools.

I’ll give you a few recipes to try out and also a couple of tool ideas. You can have lots of fun experimenting with the mixtures and creating your own original bubble making tools.

Bubble Tools

There are so many things around you that can be used to make bubbles. Wire hangers bent into different shapes, empty milk containers, string, plastic bowls, or even your bare hands held in the right position. Make a circle with your thumb and index finger or make an even bigger circle using both hands’ thumbs and index fingers.

Bubble Solution

The really big bubbles need lots of solution which can get quite expensive. It’s therefor a lot more economical to mix your own.

The best detergents to use are Joy and Dawn detergents but you need to experiment to see what works best for you.
You also need either glycerine or white Karo Syrup. This ensures colorful, sturdy bubbles. Glycerine can be bought from most drug stores, but it is expensive. Karo Syrup is available at the grocery store and is less expensive.
Amazingly enough, not any water is suitable! Hard water does not work whereas soft water does. Try using your tap water, but if you fail to get good bubbles, try using distilled water.

Solution 1:

1 Part Dawn Ultra/Joy Ultra : 15 parts distilled/soft water : 0.25 part glycerine/white Karo Syrup

Solution 2:

1 Part Regular Dawn /Regular Joy : 10 parts distilled/soft water : 0.25 part glycerine/white Karo Syrup

Solution 3:

2 Parts Regular Dawn /Regular Joy : 4 parts glycerine : 1 part white Karo Syrup

Most importantly - just have FUN!

Bookmarking Demon Drives Traffic to Sites

If you have wanted to know the truth about BookMarking Demon; this Bookmarking Demon review is for you. First, I want to start off with a brief description of what this software is and what it does.

Bookmarking Demon, created by Edwin Soft, is a software used to submit your website and blog posts or articles to numerous social bookmarking websites automatically. What it allows you to do is to select a website for submission or a specific page for submission (I highly recommend the latter). You select the social bookmarking sites that you would like to submit you page to and then hit submit. The software does the rest! Within minutes you will have generated hundreds of high page rank back links to your website.

However, before you get too excited, you need to know the truth. The truth is that one piece of software is not going to make you a million bucks. You see there is alot more to ranking websites in Google than just submitting a bunch of links to popular social book marking websites. Will it help? Without a doubt BookMarking demon will allow you to generate lots of back links and probably a few visitors from your posts. However, it is simply one arrow in your quiver.

I have been using this software for about a year now, and do highly recommend it. The product is easy to use and does what it says. For the one time price; it is worth it, as long as you use it as it was intended. Also, for a limited time you can get a cash back rebate using the link below.

Japanese Restaurants in Australia

The city of Melbourne has some extraordinary hospitality service and has some fantastic places to wine and dine. I have migrated here for more than 6 years, I have been fortunate enough to have savored some of the nicest dishes from several culinary arts offered by eateries in Melbourne.

I have been a huge devotee of Japanese food and cuisine for a long time. Since living in Melbourne, I have dined in many japanese eateries and have sampled numerous dishes that they have to offer. Some great and some bad, I can often tell if the food is good by the individuals operating the restaurant. I have made a good presumption that if the restaurant is ran and controlled by Japanese, the food that it makes is genuine.

There are many Japanese cuisine franchises in Melbourne which are not owned and operated by Japanese. The level of service and quality of food that it serves are just astonishing. Yes, the price will be more affordable but the genuineness of the taste and the level of service that you are getting is bad. If you are serious about Japanese food, take the time to research and ask around. You will often find that there is a Japanese restaurant just around the corner from you that you have not noticed.

I find myself visiting this particular restaurant in Melbourne more often these days ” Takumi. They is located conveniently in the city and is accessible by public transportation. They specialise in wagyu beef and modern Japanese cuisines. They are fully owned and operated by a Japanese family and the level of service that they have provided me is extraordinary. They offer a unusual style of bbq dishes with their state-of-the-art smoke-free barbecue tables.

So, if you are visiting Australia, be sure to take the time to explore and visit the many Melbourne Japanese restaurants.
