Dating with Personal Ads: Find Great Expectations and they may Come True
Now, Nobody can say I’m exactly happy being bored with most men (who isn’t?) and remain an honest woman. Even then, I’m not uncomfortable about it, either. I merely suggest it on the blogosphere as a delicious personal tidbit setting up the story I am about to explain in grand style.
Last Monday yours truly was talking to Corey, considering signing up for Dallas Personals site. Now, I write to my readers as a happy member of the matchmaking service. No kidding, it’s true. I like it! If you know me at all, perhaps you’re thinkin’, “You totally owe me an explanation.”
Well, I noticed this dating site called Great Expectations and liked what I saw. They’re for the serious singles who think dating should have a point.
‘Cause I’d never been interested in this silly social phenomenon a lot of singles call “The Dating Game.” I got it more than you know. Every night friends ask, “Are you two serious yet?” and “Oh I know just the guy for you!”
“That’s rubbish,” I say to them, smiling ear to ear. “Not after that last blind date you set me up on.”
“You’re as ridiculous as you are hilarious,” they deadpan. “How would you know, you haven’t seen Friday Night Magic in a year!”
Thankfully, that’s my best friend (she’s the best)
Stacey Holland. She sets the best ideas to my brain to put me back on course. Friends you can trust to offer perspective. Can’t argue with that, and I joined.
Coming home to the meaning of this blog entry. As I browsed from thousands of combinations of outfits for my first singles event with Great Expectations, I realized something honest. For the longest time, I hadn’t entertained too many literal great expectations for dating in the adventurous path of being alive. It’s good to be single, especially when you get out there and have fun. Embracing your own great expectations works terrifically in dating.
